To celebrate finishing uni we went to the ACMI - Screen Worlds. Had heaps of interactive things to play with! One of them was the Matrix room where you are surrounded by cameras and when the beeper went off, you had to pull a pose.

Was awesome xD

Final // Interactive World

Final interactive world!! Phew took a while to get the actionscript going :) Decided to keep it simple and get rid of the narrative since the audience is aimed for children. Basically all you have to do is wake him up and feed him just like a tamagotchi ^^

Final // Walk Cycle

Better quality version of my walk cycle :)

Design // Interactive World - Expressions

When you feed wilbur- he makes different expressions! :) I wanted to feed him gummy fish but I couldn't get it to work properly >.>

Design // Interactive World - Hot Spots

Here are the main spots where you can drag and drop your items onto Wilbur. To differentiate them from the scenery, I outlined it in black to make it easier for the player to spot them. Each item when dragged over his head makes Wilbur change expressions- either happy or sad face. To wake him up I decided to just make the player poke him on the belly as I had a bit of trouble getting the sound items to sync with his reactions.

Design // Interactive World - Layout Change

Decided add more hills and boulders into the scene to give it more depth. Also took out some of the items. Had difficulty placing some of the items in the environment. Sigh almost there!!!

Dali and Disney

I didn't get a chance to visit the Dali exhibition this year, kind of wish I did now (HA it's been a regretful year ^^") The one piece I wanted to see was this animation by Dali and Disney. Thankfully I found it off youtube. It really is something. Makes me want to draw for fun again. The style of the animation is undoubtedly theirs (even if it had to be finished off by someone else). So trippy and dreamy :)

If you haven't been to Dali watch this clip for sure ^^
